As many parents know, the American Academy of Pediatrics has called for a ban of baby walkers with wheels due to the risk of injury for children. So this may lead to the question, “What device is out there to help children learn to walk?”. The makers of say their product is the “revolutionary” answer! It is also doctor recommended and “parent approved”. I was of course interested to check it out!
When The Juppy arrived in the mail I LOVED the blue pouch that the walker comes inside and the fact that it can easily fit in my purse or diaper bag is an added bonus. Another extremely attractive feature is that The Juppy is machine washable and the fabric seems very durable, aspects that all parents know is crucial when working with babies learning to walk!
My 19 month old can walk (I mean run) already so I had a friend’s son help me out with the review. William is 11 months old and is raring to go in the crawling department so I thought he would be a perfect model and helper! As you can see he thought it was a pretty cool sensation to be on his feet with Mom’s help! He seemed to be completely comfortable and enthralled with moving in the upright position and after a few minutes gained more confidence to move around. His mom Kristen said it was easy to use and definitely helped prevent too much hunching over. From the looks of it, the Juppy does live up to it’s claims!
Even though my Will is completely mobile, I still had to try it myself. I figured he was still under the 30 lb weight limit so why not? Check him out running in it!
He really loved it and was laughing hysterically nearly the whole time he was in it. After he realized his Dad and I were holding most of the weight, he took total advantage and wanted us to drag him around. That’s when I knew our trial was over. I found The Juppy to be comfortable and easy to handle, especially since I am pregnant and bending over while holding weight is not currently very feasible. Luckily with the Juppy there was no worry of this! Not only does it save some stress on your back, Kristen and I both agreed that your biceps may even be helped by the product! I can’t wait for our newest addition to arrive and be old enough to use this product to learn to walk!
