The Incredible Shrinking Bully eBook: Review and Giveaway

Has your child been a victim of a bully?  As a parent, is bullying a concern for you?  When I taught 3rd grade, my students knew that this was something that would not be tolerated in my classroom so I was more than happy to complete a review of The Incredible Shrinking Bullywhen asked to do so. I believe that any preparation you can give your child to deal with a bully is vital to them being able to handle such a person in their life. Here’s a little about this book:

“The Incredible Shrinking Bully is a picture book geared toward younger kids, in hopes of sending a positive message and opening a dialogue between kids and parents, educators, grandparents, etc. about bullying.  Bart used to enjoy school, but that was before Frank the Tank began bullying him. Every time Frank bullies someone, he gets bigger. Will Bart find the courage to stop Frank, before it’s too late?” 

I found The Incredible Shrinking Bullyto be age appropriate and feel it will be helpful to children.  I know that many  will giggle at some of the character actions but will also recognize the behaviors as inappropriate.  The main character, Bart, provides the reader with a strong role model who offers a solution to a bully problem.  I think this book can definitely be a tool to use when talking to your child about bullies.
