Pirate Party!

As I’ve mentioned a few times, this past weekend was the “big birthday” weekend for my two young boys.  Their birthdays are only days apart so we did a combo party for them. The theme was pirates and in Will’s words, “Mommy, that was the best birthday party ever!”

I had a lot of fun with the Pirate party and got tons of ideas via Pinterest!  In fact, I pretty much planned the whole party on one of my boards! It’s a tradition in my house to make the cakes ourselves and Will requested a pirate ship (above), while Zack looked at pictures online and said “That one Mommy” for the skull one (below)!  The cakes turned out great!

The location was My Gym in Virgina Beach and I have to say I was blown away with the activities the kids were able to do! The boys and their friends got to go on a Pirate ship ride, have a “snowball fight”, and even got to go on a zip line!  Many of the parents wanted to take part in this activity!  My Gym did a fantastic job celebrating with the boys and had everyone wish them Happy Birthday dozens of time. Will and Zack even got to have a “magic ride” thru the gym and into the food/party area.  Another awesome perk was that every attendee got a FREE week of class and the birthday boys both received 3 FREE weeks of classes for having their party there!  I could not have been happier with the venue and the boys and their friends had a blast!
