New Year’s Memory Jar/Canister

new years jar

I’ve seen the New Year’s jar all over Pinterest and loved the idea behind it.  However, jars and my boys don’t mix…all I can see is broken glass everywhere!  So here is my tweak on this popular and awesome craft!

New Year’s Memory Jar/Canister:

Christmas Candy canister (or jar)
Construction Paper
Glue and Scissors

1.  Cut a piece of construction paper that is sized to go around your canister or jar and glue it on.

2.  Label it “New Year’s Eve Memory Jar” and glue it to the canister.
3.  Fill the jar/canister with all of the good memories throughout the year.  Some ideas include:

  • Compliments
  • Funny things said
  • Wishes made true
  • Goals met
  • Anything positive!
