My favorite Mother’s Day memory was actually before I had any babies! I had found out I was pregnant with my first just before Mother’s Day and we shared the info with the in-laws. My Mother in law was so excited and she went out and found the most beautiful picture album and had it engraved with my name for me!

    I have 2 favorite memories……
The first is in honor of my mother who past away in feb of this year. My mother preferred hand made gifts and decorated the house each year with previous years home made cards. (Some were 30 years old!!!) Mothers day will never be the same without her!
My next favorite memory is last year I dug out the little coupons my oldest gave me years ago….(clean the house, do the dishes, etc) she is now 18……she redeemed them since they had no expiration date on them!

My best Mother’s Day was last year! My older son had been away for military training for 6 months, and it was rare that he was able to call home. At almost midnight on Mother’s Day, he called…it was a quick phone call, but he made sure to call me on my special day! My younger son, who was still living at home, prepared me dinner, washed my car and brought me flowers! Special efforts from both sons to show me their love…perfect Mother’s Day!!
