Welcome to the sixth installment of my new series “Manage Your Mess Monday”. This series will focus on organizing your life and home. My goal is to have the series last 2 months with one post per week. I hope you find some useful tips to help you manage any “mess” you may have in your life. Visit here for my past Manage Your Mess posts. This week’s post is all about organizing your cleaning supplies.
I am with the majority of Americans who store their cleaning supplies under the kitchen sink. Now the problem that arises here is that the plumbing gets in the way. As with most of my organizing projects, I have resorted to using a bucket to help with this. The bucket allows me to store the different sizes and shapes of my cleaning supplies, as well as, provides a spot to throw dusting rags, sponges, gloves, etc. I know some people enjoy using a bucket with a handle which enables them to take the supplies with them while they clean. While browsing the internet I did find this awesome Expandable under sink shelf organizerthat helps out with the plumbing problem. I may just be investing in one of these! Below are some other ideas I found while searching for ideas:
- Using an Over The Door Clear Shoe Organizer/Storage Rack
- Using a tension rod under the kitchen sink to hang supplies
- Storing them on a shelf above your washer/dryer
- Roll-Out Under-Sink Drawer
- Using a Laundry Cartfor supplies
Here are some great cleaning coupons you may want to snag while we’re on the topic!
