You would pretty much have to live under a rock to not have heard about the “skinny wraps” that are the latest craze in losing inches on your body! I had been hearing about them constantly but had never tried them-until last week. In case you don’t know what a “skinny wrap”, let me give you the quick down low:

When my friend Kristen let me know she was using and distributing them, I decided it was time to go ahead and try one. I already knew exactly what body part I would be wrapping (my ever troublesome mid section) so I was excited to see what would happen. I have heard some pretty amazing results of using these wraps so I really wanted to see what they hype was about. I’m a huge fan of eating healthy and working out so I almost wanted to prove the stories wrong. Well, a funny thing happened….
When Kristen gave me the wraps and directions I immediately asked her if the results were long lasting or went away after a few days. Her answer was that it all depends on the person and how they take care of themselves afterwards (meaning continue to drink lots of water, eat relatively healthy, and continue any exercise plan they are on). That answer seemed completely reasonable to me. I mean, who goes to the gym and works out, then eats like crap, and expects to lose weight or inches? The same principles apply to It Works!
I took the wrap and directions home and followed all the pre-instructions…no alcohol and lots of water 24 hours before. That was simple enough since I drink tons of water to begin with. Then I did my pre-measurements on the 3 areas of my stomach and got to wrapping. This all was much easier because I had my husband’s help with the measuring tape and wrap. Finally, I just went about my business and waited for the wrap to do it’s job.
After about 2.5 hours ( you can leave the wrap on for much longer but I was sleepy and didn’t want to sleep in it -even though you can). I took off the wrap, rubbed in the remaining product left behind and measured. I was disappointed to see I had gained some inches-but after checking the directions, I found that this was normal and actually was a positive thing. So off to bed I went.
I continued measuring during the next 72 hours (and drinking LOTS of water like the directions say) and was pleased that with each measurement came a little loss in inches. Nothing major, but a loss nonetheless. At the 72 hour mark, I had a total of 2.5 inches lost from my measured areas. I was pretty happy with that! My skin did look a bit tighter and I felt great! So can I say it worked? For me, yes it did!
